Radio "Vilnius FM" recently celebrated its first anniversary by inviting the public to engage with its hosts at the Book Fair, highlighting its growth in audience and commitment to quality content.
Radio "Vilnius FM" has successfully built a significant listener base over the past year, amassing nearly 1 million views on Facebook and about 900 thousand on Instagram. This growth is attributed to a dedicated team of professionals from management, media, culture, and music, who have produced over 600 radio shows during this period and engaged more than 800 interesting guests. Founded by Vytas V. Petrošius, the radio station has established itself in the airwaves of Vilnius, demonstrating the city's need for its own voice.
While still in its second year of operation, "Vilnius FM" focuses primarily on delivering high-quality and constructive content rather than sensationalism or crime-related news. The programming emphasizes culture, art, business, history, and significant events in the capital, aiming to offer listeners a deeper understanding of Vilnius, its communities, and current affairs. The station’s commitment to sharing the city’s vibrant narratives has garnered appreciation among its audience.
The celebration at the Book Fair also included a visit from the Mayor of Vilnius, Valdas Benkunskas, underscoring the importance of the radio station in shaping community identity. By fostering discussions and promoting local talent and events, "Vilnius FM" plays a crucial role in enriching the cultural and social fabric of Vilnius. As it continues to grow, the station is positioned to become an influential voice in the region, further connecting listeners with their city.
