This year has opened numerous government job opportunities in Bihar, with the Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) releasing a calendar for recruitment examinations for 42,467 different positions. A significant concentration of these vacancies is within the health department, where 11,389 positions for staff nurses will be filled. The recruitment process for nurses is expected to conclude by August, alongside the announcement of 8,938 positions for Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM). Along with nurses and ANMs, thousands of other roles including lab technicians, dentists, surgeons, and pharmacists will also be recruited as per the calendar.
In addition to the health sector, several other departments will see a surge in job vacancies. The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) is also set to fill numerous positions, including 1,114 work inspectors, 191 pump operators, and 493 mechanical work inspectors, contributing significantly to the overall job market in the state. Positions in the Department of Science, Animal and Fisheries Department, and the Revenue and Land Reforms Department will also offer thousands of vacancies.
The announcement of such a large number of job vacancies is a crucial step towards addressing unemployment in Bihar, particularly in the health sector where the demand for skilled professionals is high. With multiple recruitment processes scheduled, it is expected to not only fill essential roles in public health but also aid in boosting the local economy by creating job opportunities for the youth across various sectors in the state.
