AMT moves the Bicentenario Registration Center to new facilities

The Metropolitan Transit Agency (AMT) in Quito is relocating the Bicentenario Registration Center to new premises to improve service efficiency and transparency, effective March 2, 2026.

The Metropolitan Transit Agency (AMT) in Quito has announced the relocation of the Bicentenario Registration Center, effective March 2, 2026. This move is aimed at ensuring optimal, efficient, and transparent service for the public. The new facility will be located on Avenida De la Prensa and Amazonas, at the former capital airport. As a result, the current location at Iturralde Street and Avenida De la Prensa will continue to operate until February 25, 2026, during specified hours.

From February 26 to 27, 2026, there will be no public service as the municipality plans to conduct the relocation, installation, and connectivity of institutional equipment and platforms. The AMT has indicated that this transition is critical for the improvement of services provided to the citizens of Quito, reflecting the city's commitment to adapting and upgrading public services to meet current demands.

Once the new center opens, it will be operational from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30. This strategic relocation highlights the AMT's efforts to enhance customer experience and accessibility while ensuring that residents of Quito have reliable access to vehicle registration services in a modern facility.
