BGS has renewed its partnership with Finnair, providing fuel and ground handling services at major Baltic airports.

BGS has officially renewed its partnership with Finnair, as stipulated in agreements that will come into effect on January 1, 2026. Under these agreements, BGS is set to supply aviation fuel to Finnair aircraft departing from the three largest international airports in the Baltic States: Vilnius (VNO), Riga (RIX), and Tallinn (TLL). In addition to fuel supply, BGS will continue to serve as the ground handling service provider for Finnair at Vilnius Airport. This marks a significant collaboration in support of air travel in the region.

Since January 2017, BGS has been supplying fuel to Finnair at Vilnius, with expanded operations to Tallinn scheduled to start in March 2024 and in Riga by October 2024. Finnair operates regular flights to its main hub in Helsinki from all three Baltic capitals, demonstrating the importance of these airports for regional connectivity. The continued partnership between BGS and Finnair indicates a stable growth in airline operations within the Baltic region, facilitating passenger travel to numerous destinations both in Europe and beyond.

Vitalis Dudys, head of commercial operations at BGS, expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing collaboration, highlighting the stability and development of their relationship over the years. He stated that they are excited to continue contributing to Finnair's operations in the Baltic States by providing essential ground handling and fuel services. This partnership is crucial not only for BGS and Finnair but also for the broader aviation landscape in the Baltics, ensuring efficient service delivery and facilitating better travel options for passengers in the region.
