A truck veered off the road after the driver fell asleep at the wheel on the SP-270 in Presidente Prudente, Brazil, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

In a startling incident on the night of Monday, October 23, a truck driver lost control while driving on the SP-270 highway near Presidente Prudente, São Paulo, after falling asleep at the wheel. The driver, who was transporting a load of textiles from Três Lagoas, Mato Grosso do Sul, to Londrina, Paraná, reported that he dozed off around 11 PM, leading the vehicle to veer off the roadway and crash through the metal guardrail.

The truck ultimately came to a stop on Avenida Joaquim Constantino, in the residential areas between the neighborhoods of Residencial Florenza and Parque Residencial Nosaki. Local authorities, including the Polícia Rodoviária, assessed the situation but did not file a report as there were no reported injuries from the incident. The truck’s owner is taking steps to transfer the cargo and have the vehicle removed from the location.
