More than 700 taxpayers in Acre will receive residual income tax refund in February
Over 700 taxpayers in Acre, Brazil, are set to receive a total of R$ 1.7 million in tax refunds as part of the February 2026 Income Tax return process.
The Brazilian Federal Revenue Service has opened the consultation for a new residual batch of Income Tax refunds for February 2026. In Acre, 725 taxpayers are eligible to receive a total refund amounting to R$ 1.7 million. This refund process is part of the regularization of tax situations for those who initially fell into arrears but have since rectified their status with the tax authorities.
The deposit of these refunds is scheduled for February 27, 2026, with payments being made either directly into the bank accounts specified during the tax declaration process or via the PIX payment system if selected. These refunds apply to taxpayers in the 2nd Fiscal Region, which includes Acre and neighboring states such as Pará, Amapá, Amazonas, Rondônia, and Roraima. Across this region, a total of 11,264 taxpayers are expected to receive refunds, summing up to over R$ 33 million in total credits.
This announcement highlights the ongoing efforts of Brazil's tax authorities to ensure that taxpayers receive their rightful refunds, especially for those who had to resolve issues that led to their status in the tax system being scrutinized. It is a crucial step for the economic well-being of individuals in Acre, allowing them to recoup funds they are owed, which can help improve their financial situation in challenging times.
