Establishment of the State School of Film and Audiovisual Media is underway
The studies for the establishment of the State School of Film and Audiovisual Media have been completed, representing a significant step in enhancing Greece's audiovisual sector.
The completion of studies for the establishment of the State School of Film and Audiovisual Media has been announced, following a contractual agreement between the Ministry of Culture and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. This initiative, supported by a budget of β¬327,000 from the Recovery Fund, aims to create the first public educational institution in Greece dedicated exclusively to the professional education of film and audiovisual technicians.
Culture Minister Lina Mendoni stated that the completion of these studies marks a crucial milestone towards establishing the school, which will play a vital role in the Ministry's broader strategy to bolster the audiovisual industry in Greece. This new institution is expected to serve as a fundamental pillar in supporting and developing artistic and technical education related to filmmaking and audiovisual media.
