Women Injured in Accident Wait for Medics at Vilkija Café
Two women and their young children were injured in a car accident on the Kaunas-Vilkija road and waited for medical help at a café.
On February 23, at approximately 12:56 PM, emergency services in Kaunas received a report of a traffic accident involving two vehicles: a Kia Rio and a Tesla. The collision occurred near the village of Naujienos in the Batniavos municipality along the Jurbarto highway. During the aftermath of the accident, it was revealed that two women and their young children who were traveling in the Tesla were transported to a nearby café in Vilkija by passing motorists, which provided temporary shelter while waiting for emergency responders.
Once medical personnel arrived at the café, they assessed the injured individuals. Their examination indicated various bruises on the bodies of all involved passengers from the Tesla, prompting the decision to transport them to the hospital for more detailed examinations. Additionally, the driver of the Kia was also taken to the medical facility for evaluation, ensuring that all individuals affected by the crash received immediate medical attention and care.
Meanwhile, firefighters worked to clear the roadway and enhance safety by repairing the road surface affected by the accident.
