Beloved priest of the Kaišiadorys diocese has died

Priest Juozas Čeberiokas, who served the Kaišiadorys diocese for many years, has passed away.

Juozas Čeberiokas, born on March 17, 1934, in Linkmenų parish, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of service within the Kaišiadorys diocese. He was educated in schools in Linkmenų, Ignalina, and Kaunas, and began his career working at the Ignalina consumer cooperative in various roles before entering the Kaunas inter-diocesan seminary, from which he graduated in 1964. This marked the beginning of his long and impactful journey as a priest, starting with his ordination on March 25, 1964. Throughout his ministry, Čeberiokas served in multiple parishes in the Kaišiadorys diocese. He held various positions from vicar to head priest in numerous local parishes, including Jiezno, Darsūniškio, Dubingių, and others. His dedication to the church and the community made him a well-respected figure among his peers and parishioners alike. In 2015, due to his advancing age, he stepped down from his role as a head priest but continued to serve as a resident priest in Kuktiškiai parish. The passing of Monsignor Juozas Čeberiokas is a significant loss for the community he served for decades. His life was dedicated to guiding and nurturing the spiritual lives of his parishioners, and his impact will undoubtedly be felt long after his departure.
