The first edition of the 'Education in Accord' project, focused on negotiating and renegotiating student debts with private higher education institutions in Manaus, Brazil, is set to take place from Wednesday, the 25th, to Friday, the 27th. Organized by Procon Manaus, the event will be held at the Phelippe Daou shopping mall in the northern region of the city from 8 AM to 2 PM each day, enabling students to seek direct mediation and communicate remotely with participating institutions for formal debt settlements.

Procon Manaus highlights that the initiative aims to help students manage their financial issues, offering potential discounts of up to 100% on interest rates and 70% on the total debt amount, depending on the age of the debt and the specific criteria established by each educational institution. This effort not only facilitates individual negotiations but also addresses broader concerns related to academic financial management, ultimately benefiting students' financial health and educational opportunities.

In addition to debt negotiations, 'Education in Accord' will also handle complaints related to billing issues within the student sector, broadening the scope of support for students grappling with financial challenges.
