For 25 years, the Sendero Foundation has been working in Temperley to change lives through charitable projects. Located at Cerrito 65 — between the tracks and Avenida Almirante Brown — this nonprofit organization is once again initiating one of its most anticipated programs before the start of the school year: the Solidarity Backpack initiative. The program aims to collect school supplies so that children and teenagers can start classes with all the essentials they need, including backpacks, pencil cases, notebooks, colored pencils, folders, pens, erasers, and more. Donated materials can be either new or used, as long as they are in good condition.

Donations are accepted on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 PM to 7 PM, with no prior appointment necessary. Additionally, those who come to donate can enjoy exclusive parking provided by the foundation, making delivery easier. The organization emphasizes that large quantities are not required; even a box of pencils or a ream of paper can contribute to the cause. Each donation, regardless of size, helps in the collective effort to support local students in need as they prepare for the new school year, fostering community involvement and solidarity among residents.
