Airtel Uganda Limited has reported impressive financial results for the year ending December 31, 2025, with total revenue reaching Shs 1,013.4 billion, a substantial increase from Shs 880.0 billion in 2024. This growth underscores the company's strong performance in a competitive telecommunications sector in Uganda. The reported figures were shared on February 20, highlighting the company's success in leveraging increased data usage and expanding their customer base.
The company also posted a Profit Before Tax of Shs 639.9 billion, a notable improvement from Shs 451.7 billion the previous year, and a Profit After Tax rising to Shs 446.8 billion from Shs 316.7 billion. This upward trend can be attributed to a robust operating profit increase of 35 percent to Shs 849.2 billion, which translates to a strong operating margin of 37.7 percent. Such financial growth signifies a positive outlook for Airtel Uganda and indicates the telecommunications sector's resilience and adaptability in the face of economic challenges.
Management credits the sustained performance to effective cost management strategies and favorable macroeconomic conditions that have supported business operations. The growth in their customer base, expanding by 19.2 percent compared to the previous year, also reflects strong demand for telecommunications services, particularly in data usage and value-added offerings. These results are promising for the future of Airtel Uganda as it continues to grow and adapt in a rapidly evolving market.
