Traffic Disruptions: Long Detour for Cars and Buses in Olching
Important connecting roads in Olching will be partially closed for almost four months due to the installation of water pipes and the expansion of district heating, affecting two bus lines.
In Olching, significant traffic disruptions are set to occur as a result of the replacement of water mains and the expansion of district heating. The Roggensteiner Straße is scheduled to be partially closed from March 2 to June 30, making it only accessible in a southward direction towards Eichenau and Bundesstraße 2. This construction will necessitate a detour for drivers headed north to the main road and B471, who will have to reroute via Johann-G.-Gutenberg-Straße through the industrial area and Münchner Straße.
Additionally, local bus services will also be affected. Bus lines 833 and 860 will be rerouted to accommodate the construction, navigating through Heimgartenstraße to reach the Olching S-Bahn station. Passengers using these lines should be prepared for changes in their usual travel plans, as the Herzogstandstraße stop will be moved southward to before the Heimgartenstraße entrance. This construction project aims to improve local infrastructure but will cause temporary inconveniences for residents and commuters alike.
The Landratsamt has communicated these changes to keep the public informed about potential delays and route alterations. As roadworks continue, the community is urged to plan accordingly and allow extra time for travel. Such developments underscore the ongoing efforts to enhance the municipal infrastructure while balancing the impact on daily commutes.
