Fund invests R$ 281 million in energy transmission in São Paulo
The Shalom FIP has signed a concession contract to build two underground energy transmission lines in São Paulo, committing R$ 281 million to enhance the electrical capacity for 7 million residents.
The Shalom FIP (Multi-Strategy Investment Fund) has announced a significant investment of R$ 281.2 million to construct two underground energy transmission lines in São Paulo. This project comes after the signing of a public service concession contract on May 23, which aims to establish a new electrical infrastructure connecting the Miguel Reale Substation in the Cambuci neighborhood to the Centro Substation. The new lines will cover approximately 6 km in a densely populated urban area, which has been chosen to meet the power demands of up to 7 million residents in the region.
The initiative is expected to greatly increase the electrical capacity of São Paulo's central region and provide a reliable power source for the Centro Substation, which has been operating on a 230 kV voltage since 1975. With the completion of these improvements, the expected electrical capacity will rise to 600 MVA, marking a significant upgrade in the infrastructure. The commercial operation of this new setup is scheduled to last until February 2031, ensuring long-term investment in the city's energy supply.
This investment highlights the ongoing efforts to modernize São Paulo's electrical infrastructure, catering to the growing population and urban demands. By enhancing the transmission capabilities, the Shalom FIP aims to secure a stable and efficient power supply for residents and businesses alike, ultimately contributing to the economic growth and development of Brazil's largest city.
