As she was returning from the Orion Mall, three men followed her for approximately one and a half kilometers, making lewd comments. One of the men even unnervingly removed his shirt to intimidate her, culminating in a groping incident outside the AIIMS gate when they finally pursued her. Her screams led to the assailants fleeing the scene.

The victim reported this disturbing episode immediately upon reaching the AIIMS campus, bringing the incident to the attention of the North East Federation of All India Resident Doctors (NAFORD). NAFORD subsequently voiced their concerns on social media, tagging the Chief Minister's office and highlighting the severe racial and sexual assault that occurred. This incident raises significant questions regarding safety and security for women in public spaces and demands urgent action from authorities to protect individuals from such heinous acts.
