Lebanon organized the largest communal Iftar table in the world in the capital city of Beirut, seeking entry into the Guinness World Records. This event saw the participation of over 5,700 fasting individuals from various social backgrounds, including orphans and families from both Lebanese and Palestinian communities, all coming together to break their fast in a shared experience. The occasion was sponsored by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and orchestrated by the local NGO 'Ajeelouna', emphasizing unity in the diverse Lebanese society during the holy month of Ramadan.

Fda Swed Ramadan, a representative from the organizing body, expressed that the goal of the initiative extended beyond merely setting a new world record; it was about bringing together Lebanese people from all demographics – from the northernmost to the southernmost regions, and from east to west – around a common table during Ramadan. The event invited various segments of society, including orphans, the elderly, and low-income families, showcasing the spirit of solidarity and community engagement that characterizes Lebanese culture.

This initiative received extensive local and regional coverage, demonstrating a collective effort in reinforcing pride and identity among the Lebanese, amid ongoing challenges.
