Developer promised an apartment for a gold medal at the Olympics. Changes rules for Kacper Tomasiak
A Polish developer has announced it will grant an apartment to Olympic medalist Kacper Tomasiak, despite him not winning a gold medal, due to his three-medal performance at the Winter Olympics.
The Polish developer PROFBUD has been sponsoring the Polish Olympic team since the Summer Olympics in Paris and has promised an apartment to any athlete returning home with a gold medal. This incentive represents the highest value prize in the history of Polish Olympism. However, during the XXV Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina, no Polish athlete was able to achieve gold. In a significant departure from its original rule, PROFBUD has made an exception for Kacper Tomasiak, a ski jumper who won two silver medals and one bronze.
In tribute to Tomasiak's remarkable achievement, PROFBUD announced that he would receive a two-room apartment in the second building of the "Paris" district, part of the investment project named 'City of Polish Olympic Champions.' This building is located in the village of MysiadΕo, near Warsaw's Ursus district. By honoring Tomasiak, PROFBUD emphasizes the value of all medal-winning performances at the Olympics, acknowledging that the competitive spirit encompasses more than just winning gold.
The developer's decision also reflects a broader recognition of the efforts and achievements of Olympians, encouraging young athletes to strive for excellence, regardless of the metal color. The shift in policy underlines the importance of supporting athletes comprehensively, paving the way for increased sponsorships and community involvement in Polish sports.
