Market economists have reduced their inflation estimate for 2026 from 3.95% to 3.91%, marking the seventh consecutive decline in this indicator.
Brazilian financial market economists have decreased their inflation forecast for the year 2026 to 3.91%, down from a previous estimate of 3.95%. This change is reported in the Focus bulletin released by the Central Bank of Brazil, based on a survey conducted with over 100 financial institutions in the past week. If this projection holds true, the National Consumer Price Index (IPCA) will be lower than the previous year's rate of 4.26%. Furthermore, the inflation expectations for the subsequent years of 2027, 2028, and 2029 remain unchanged at 3.80%, 3.50%, and 3.50%, respectively.
