A man was arrested in Tenório, a municipality in Paraíba, Brazil, after allegedly setting fire to a house with a 13-year-old boy inside. The incident occurred late on Saturday night, when the boy was asleep in one of the rooms. Local police were alerted and responded to the scene, hearing the victim’s screams and managing to rescue him through a window. The boy was taken to safety while the home was engulfed in flames.

Prior to the fire, the military police were called to investigate a report of domestic violence against a woman in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered the woman had visible signs of assault allegedly at the hands of her partner. The woman reported that she had been threatened with a knife, and during the police's response, she was found at the home of a neighbor for her safety.
