Sillat Put Motorcycle Museum Exhibits Up for Sale

Arno Sillat has begun selling parts of the exhibits from the closed Motor Sports Museum in Turba due to low visitor numbers and economic difficulties.

The Motor Sports Museum (MOMU) in Turba has been closed since last autumn due to a lack of visitors and a challenging economic situation. Arno Sillat, who has been managing the museum, is now engaged in selling parts of his personal exhibit collection. He stated that he is selling or distributing portions of the display he owned, as he wished to eliminate the temptation of rekindling his interest in the museum's operation.

Sillat has already managed to sell some items from his collection and has shared trophies and helmets among children. While he has noted a significant interest in the exhibits, he pointed out that there are fewer serious buyers. According to Sillat, interest in purchasing the exhibits is about equally split between foreign buyers and those from Estonia, indicating a broad appeal despite the museum's closure.

Nevertheless, Sillat expressed no regrets regarding the museum's closure or the sale of its exhibits. He reflected on the effort and finances he invested into the project, acknowledging that nothing lasts forever. Looking ahead, he anticipates new challenges, indicating a willingness to move on from this chapter of his life as he seeks new opportunities.
