In an interview with the magazine "Una", Latvian director Dzintars Dreibergs discussed his ongoing work on a new film project, following the success of "In the Net: The Birth of the TTT Legends". Rather than continuing the basketball narrative from his previous film, he expressed his desire to tell a different story focused on the Legion during World War II. He emphasized that this subject is complex and emotionally charged, reflecting the historical struggles faced by many in Latvia during that time.

Dreibergs explained that filming for this new project began concurrently with his previous film, providing him with more readiness to tackle the sensitive themes it presents. He acknowledged the fear surrounding public perceptions of the Legion, particularly in a contemporary context where historical narratives can be contentious. Despite these challenges, he feels it is important to honor those who fought for Latvia and understand their contributions to history.
