After the Rain Comes the First Messenger of Spring, Temperatures Will Rise Significantly, Forecasts for This Week
The upcoming week in Czechia will begin with cloudy weather and rain, but is expected to clear up by midweek with temperatures rising significantly.
The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ) has released a weather forecast indicating that the upcoming week will initially feature a lot of cloud cover along with occasional rain. On Monday, the country will experience mostly cloudy skies with some precipitation, particularly in higher altitudes where snowfall is expected. Temperatures at night could drop to around 3 to 8 degrees Celsius, with even lower temperatures in some parts of Moravia. Throughout the day, temperatures are projected to reach between 8 and 13 degrees Celsius.
By Tuesday, the weather is expected to follow a similar pattern, with cloudiness and potential rain continuing into the night. The forecast predicts mixed or snowy precipitation in elevated areas and gradually diminishing rain throughout the day, leading to clearer skies by the afternoon and evening. Nighttime temperatures will range from 1 to 5 degrees Celsius. Notably, by Friday, the forecasts indicate a possibility of temperatures climbing as high as 17 degrees Celsius, signaling the arrival of warmer spring weather.
Overall, this week's weather transitions from a wet start to a brighter end, promising significantly warmer conditions especially towards the weekend. This shift may have implications for outdoor activities and agricultural planning, as the first signs of spring typically influence these sectors heavily in the Czech Republic.
