Following the death of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez of the State of Mexico has initiated a series of security enhancements across the region. This includes the establishment of a permanent Peace Table aimed at fostering dialogue and coordinating efforts to ensure public safety. The deployment of soldiers, marines, and elements from the National Guard has been initiated as part of this enhanced security operation.
