A tragic accident occurred on the BR-020 in Planaltina, District Federal, on the afternoon of Sunday, October 22, resulting in the death of a 50-year-old motorcyclist. The collision involved a car and happened before the DVO, prompting an immediate response from the Corpo de Bombeiros (CBMDF), which was called shortly before 2 PM. Upon arrival, emergency responders found the motorcyclist on the ground with injuries that were deemed incompatible with life, leading to the declaration of death at the scene.

The driver of the car, a 39-year-old man, was assessed by paramedics and found to be unharmed. Following the incident, three lanes of the highway were closed to facilitate emergency response and investigation efforts. The responsibility for the situation was handed over to the Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF), while the 16th Police Station is conducting an investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding the crash.
