Project Rally One has revealed the first image of its new rally car, preparing to join the WRC series in 2027.

Project Rally One, led by engineer Lionel Hansen, has unveiled the first photo of its new rally car as it prepares to enter the main category of the World Rally Championship (WRC) in 2027. The team is gearing up for the technical regulations set for 2027, with the first test drives of the new vehicle slated for spring 2024. Despite the final technical specifications being unsettled, it is known that the new chassis will utilize the Å koda Fabia RS Rally2 engine during testing and development.

Hansen indicated that the development is on schedule, although it is too early to finalize the selection of key components. He mentioned that the team is actively designing the car, with the first prototype created primarily to demonstrate their technical capabilities. They are now working on the actual test vehicle, with Hansen noting that the car visually resembles several well-known models from WRC's history.

According to regulations from the International Automobile Federation (FIA), Project Rally One must be prepared to deliver ten cars to potential customers within two years of the homologation date. This ambitious timeline underscores the team's commitment to becoming a competitive force in the WRC, as they work to meet the standards required for success in the highly professional and competitive environment of international rally racing.
