In the early hours of Sunday, a man was shot in the neck while arriving at a nightclub in the São João neighborhood of Volta Redonda, Rio de Janeiro. According to the Military Police, the victim arrived at the Santa Casa de Barra Mansa with a gunshot wound but stated he couldn't recall the details of the incident after he heard the shot just before entering the club.

The Military Police confirmed that the victim was assisted by a friend and was promptly taken to medical facilities where his condition was stabilized. Fortunately, the medical team has indicated that the injuries are not life-threatening and that surgery is not required at this time, although the victim will remain under observation for further evaluation.
