'A lot has gone wrong with me...', son dies in hospital after 8 years of marriage

A newborn's tragic death attributed to negligence at a private hospital in Jhansi, India, has led to accusations from the father against the hospital staff.

In Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, a 12-day-old newborn infant died during treatment at a private hospital, leading to severe accusations of negligence from the father, Shivam Ahirwar. He claimed that after eight years of marriage to his wife, Ravita, they finally welcomed their son only to lose him due to alleged oversights by the hospital staff. Following the unfortunate incident, the police have taken the child's body to conduct a post-mortem examination.

Shivam shared that they had been married for eight years and had long struggled with infertility. After numerous prayers at various religious sites, his wife became pregnant, and on February 9, their son was delivered via cesarean section. Initially, the family celebrated this joyous occasion, but the happiness was short-lived as the newborn's health deteriorated shortly after being discharged from the hospital only four days after birth.

The family alleges that the child’s condition worsened due to negligence during their visit to the hospital, highlighting serious lapses in care. As investigations continue, the community is in shock over the tragic loss faced by Shivam, who described the event as a significant blow to their family, emphasizing the desperate nature of their earlier hopes and prayers for a child that ultimately ended in tragedy.
