A 63-Year-Old Mountaineer Dies After Falling on the Segovian Slope of La Bola del Mundo
A 63-year-old mountaineer has died after falling on the Segovian slope of La Bola del Mundo in Spain.
On a recent Sunday, a tragic incident occurred involving a 63-year-old mountaineer who lost his life after suffering a fall in La Bola del Mundo, located in the Real Sitio de San Ildefonso area of Segovia, Spain. Emergency services received a call just before 8:56 AM reporting the incident, where the man had fallen down the slope and hit a tree during the fall. Immediate assistance was requested through the emergency services number 1-1-2 Castilla y León.
Upon receiving the distress call, the 1-1-2 emergency manager organized a multi-conference call with the Sanitary Emergency service - Sacyl, which provided initial evaluation and guidance to the caller on how to assist the victim until help arrived. In addition, the 1-1-2 service contacted the Guardia Civil and the Segovia Fire Department, as well as the Emergency Coordination Center, to effectively coordinate the response and locate the victim in a rugged area where the fall had occurred.
