In Kuwait, the Interior Ministry has adopted a firm stance on public eating and drinking during the holy month of Ramadan. They have announced that any individual caught eating or drinking in public during fasting hours will face fines or imprisonment for up to a month, or both. Additionally, those who incite, assist, or force others to eat publicly will also be subject to the same penalties, emphasizing the serious approach the ministry is taking this Ramadan.

Moreover, the ministry has warned businesses, including shops and restaurants, that violations of these regulations will lead to severe consequences. Any establishment found breaking the rules could be temporarily closed for up to two months, which serves as a deterrent to ensure compliance. This approach reflects the Kuwaiti government's effort to maintain the sanctity of Ramadan and enforce cultural and religious norms during this significant time.

In preparation for Ramadan, Major General Abdul Wahhab Ahmed Al-Wuhib mentioned that the ministry's security, traffic, and public awareness teams are fully organized to monitor compliance with these regulations. Inspections will be conducted to ensure the public and establishments adhere to the fasting rules, illustrating a proactive approach to uphold the values of the holy month within Kuwaiti society.
