The national broadcasting channels celebrate the anniversary of the Republic
The Estonian national broadcasters are bringing the Republic's anniversary celebrations to homes across Estonia and worldwide, featuring cultural events and key speeches.
The Estonian national broadcasting channels, ERR, are set to celebrate the anniversary of the Republic with a variety of programming for audiences in Estonia and around the globe. From February 24, the channels will showcase cultural events and special interactions, connecting citizens with the festive spirit of Independence Day. Significant highlights include the Prime Minister's anniversary speech, which will be available both in Lithuanian Sign Language on ETV2 and at a later time on ETV.
On the eve of Independence Day, major broadcasts will kick off with the Prime Minister's speech originating from Tartu, spotlighting reflections on the country’s achievements over the past year. Audiences can join in as significant events unfold, with morning flag-hoisting ceremonies and an elaborate concert show planned. These events can be accessed not only via television but also through the ERR website and Jupiter streaming service, ensuring wide reach and engagement.
In addition to the major on-screen appearances, dedicated radio broadcasts will offer commentary and summaries of the day's significant happenings. The variety in programming reflects both a celebratory tone and a reminder of national pride as Estonia commemorates another year of independence, while also fostering a sense of community among Estonians everywhere, whether at home or abroad.
