Athens is currently in the midst of its Carnival celebrations, culminating today, Sunday, February 22, with a grand parade organized by the Municipality of Athens. This parade follows a series of vibrant parties and events that have unfolded in the days preceding it, showcasing the lively spirit of the city's inhabitants and their commitment to cultural traditions.

Last Sunday, children from the city participated in a colorful celebration at Zappeion, featuring music, dance, stilt walkers, and a Chinese dragon. Various activities included games and balloon creations, highlighting community engagement in the festivities. Throughout the last few days, the city's Philharmonic Orchestra, Big Band, and the Municipality's workshop for Greek music have brought the rhythmic essence of Carnival to neighborhoods, parks, and squares, effectively engaging citizens in the joyous occasion.

Cultural associations and unions took part in reviving traditions from different regions of Greece, including Naxos' Korbelato and the Wedding of Flamoura.
