A wildfire that started in the Jirisan mountain area of Hamyang, South Gyeongsang Province, has been ongoing for 17 hours, fueled by strong winds. As of 1:30 PM on the 22nd, the Central Disaster Response Headquarters of the Korea Forest Service reported that the containment level is at 66%. The fire has spread across an area of 48 hectares, with an uncontained line of approximately 1.1 kilometers out of a total fire line of 3.23 kilometers. The affected area has grown by an additional 22 hectares and the fire line has extended by 1 kilometer within just five hours of the last report.
