The three mobile communication companies will showcase South Korea's artificial intelligence at MWC26
South Korean mobile carriers are set to present their AI technologies at the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, Spain.
Three major South Korean mobile communication companies—SK Telecom, KT, and LG U+—are participating in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, showcasing their advancements in artificial intelligence (AI). SK Telecom will present a range of AI solutions including the GPUaaS (Graphics Processing Unit as a Service) and the AI Inference Factory, addressing the market's shift towards inference over training in AI model development. They will also display their capabilities in generative AI, highlighted by a live demonstration of the A.X K1, a significant super-large model project sponsored by the government.
KT will feature an exhibition themed around Gwanghwamun Square, incorporating symbolic elements such as a statue of King Sejong and the Sejong Center for Performing Arts. The display aims to blend Korean culture with innovative technology, promoting Korea's strengths in these areas. Notably, KT plans to introduce the Agent Fabric, a corporate AI operating system designed to connect various AI technologies and agents, along with an 'Agent Builder' tool for industry-specific applications.
Meanwhile, LG U+ is focusing on a 'human-centric AI' approach at their booth, collaborating with the UK-based global media art group Universal Everything to create a media art exhibition. This initiative reflects LG U’s commitment to integrating art and technology, positioning AI as a tool that enhances human experiences. These presentations at MWC26 not only highlight South Korea's technological advancements but also aim to foster international collaborations in AI development.
