The stretch of Avenida Prainha in Cuiabá, from Avenida Getúlio Vargas to Estação Ipiranga, will be closed starting at 7 PM on Saturday due to works related to the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. The closure is expected to last until noon the following day, with complete restrictions at specific times at the intersection of Avenida Generoso Ponce with Avenida Prainha. Additional closures will occur at the intersection of Avenida Generoso Ponce with Rua 13 de Junho due to restrictions in the Boca da Onça area.

According to the Municipal Urban Mobility Authority (Semob), the roadblocks have been requested to facilitate the ongoing resurfacing and rehabilitation of the roadways. They have noted that while vehicle traffic is generally lower during nighttime hours, motorists are advised to avoid the closed area and seek alternative routes to minimize disruptions and maintain safety for ongoing construction efforts.

The municipal government emphasizes the importance of these infrastructural projects in improving transit efficiency and safety for the citizens of Cuiabá.
