A 39-year-old woman was arrested on the BR-050 in Uberaba, Brazil, after trying to avoid police inspection by faking a problem with her car's trunk. During a routine patrol, officers from the Federal Highway Police (PRF) approached her vehicle due to suspicious behavior, as she appeared nervous and provided inconsistent answers during questioning. While the officers requested her to open the trunk, the woman attempted to hinder the inspection by pretending that the trunk door was jammed, even going so far as to break the car key in the process. However, her efforts were futile as the officers detected the strong smell of marijuana emanating from the vehicle, prompting them to continue with their inspection. Upon searching the car, authorities discovered approximately 558 kg of marijuana, highlighting the severity of the drug trafficking operation and the use of deceptive tactics by individuals involved in such illegal activities. This incident reflects ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement in combating drug trafficking in Brazil.
