The UTMA 17 martial arts tournament kicks off in Kaunas on Saturday night, showcasing a lineup of 28 fighters who will engage in 14 thrilling bouts. Among the highlighted matches are two championship fights, including a title defense by the recent UTMA 77 kg kickboxing champion, Mantvydas Perednis, who will face Raimondas Krilavičius. Additionally, in the main event for the 75 kg championship belt, Nauris Lukošiūnas is set to clash with Serbian fighter Nikola Cvetkovičius.
Returning to Lithuania after a notable debut is Ahavatas Gordon from Israel, who will showcase his skills in a Muay Thai fight under MMA rules against Turkish contender Ali Koyuncu in the 63.5 kg category. Another anticipated matchup features Deividas Danyla, who will also fight under these rules against Turkish competitor Cengiz Lale in the 66 kg category. The organization’s top-ranked fighter, Dominykas Dirkstys, will take on Maximo Zaplitnii from Moldova in a 89 kg clash, promising an exciting night of competitive martial arts.
