In a recent biathlon sprint event, French biathletes showcased their dominance with a double victory. Estere Volfa started strong, hitting all ten targets in her initial two shooting stages and remained in the top ten for a significant portion of the race. However, her performance faltered during the standing shooting stage, where she made several mistakes, ultimately leading her to finish in 23rd place. On the other hand, Baiba Bendika faced challenges in her first shooting round with three mistakes, which forced her to start from the last position. Despite this setback, she succeeded in her final round and managed to finish ahead of Volfa in 22nd place, albeit over two and a half minutes behind the leader.
