Excuse of Reel Shoot, Millions of Rupees Worth Jewelry Stolen from Home, Friends Turned Out to be Thieves
A shocking case of theft has emerged in Akola where a reel creator plotted to steal millions of rupees worth of jewelry and cash from the house of her close friend.
In Akola, a startling incident has unfolded behind the glamorous facade of social media, where a reel creator devised a plan to steal jewelry and cash valued at millions of rupees from her friend, a fellow reel star. According to police reports, the accused, Samiksha Ganvay, and the victim, Neha Sawadekar, were neighbors with a deep friendship that allowed for regular visits to each other's homes, giving Samiksha easy access to all parts of Neha's house. This sense of trust was exploited by Samiksha to orchestrate the theft, which she had been planning for about a month.
The police investigation revealed that the pair's relationship had strengthened while making reels on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook. However, this friendship transformed into betrayal when Samiksha made her move to steal from Neha. On February 12, Samiksha called Neha to her home under the pretext of shooting a reel, claiming that some friends would be arriving for the shoot. After around one to one and a half hours of shooting from various angles, the scheme was put into action, leading to the theft of a significant amount of valuables.
