On February 20, in Riga, Latvia, the State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD) responded to a fire incident involving a barrel of lithium batteries located in the basement of a five-story administrative building on Zemitāna Street. The fire measured approximately two square meters in size, and evacuation procedures were successfully carried out before the firefighters arrived, resulting in 60 individuals being safely evacuated from the building. The fire was brought under control, with operations concluding by 18:33.
