Police in New South Wales conducted a traffic stop on a highway and seized drugs estimated to be worth $1.45 million from a 22-year-old male driver. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Saturday on the Pacific Highway in Nabiac, where officers from the Highway Patrol conducted a routine check. During the traffic stop, it was reported that the driver tested positive for cocaine during a roadside drug test, subsequent to which he was arrested.

Upon searching the vehicle, authorities discovered approximately 4 kilograms of cocaine and 45 kilograms of cannabis, contributing to the significant estimated street value of the seized drugs. In addition to the narcotics, police found $980 in cash and various electronic devices inside the vehicle. The driver initially provided officers with a fake driver's license; upon further investigation, it was revealed that he was a suspended learner driver, resulting in multiple charges including supply and possession of prohibited drugs.
