Man suspected of a series of robberies at businesses in Mogi das Cruzes is arrested

A man suspected of robbing several businesses in the district of César de Sousa, Mogi das Cruzes, has been arrested.

Authorities in Mogi das Cruzes have apprehended a man believed to be behind a string of robberies that targeted various commercial establishments in the district of César de Sousa. The arrest took place on Friday (20th) by officers from the local 3rd Police District. According to Delegate Alexandre Batalha, the series of crimes began in January and the investigation revealed that the robberies shared similar characteristics, implicating the same suspect in each incident.

Delegate Batalha elaborated that the criminal activities involved the theft of cash and products across at least five different types of businesses, including pharmacies, bakeries, grocery stores, and wine shops. This pattern led law enforcement to focus on identifying the individual responsible for the crimes. As time progressed, they managed to gather enough evidence to identify a suspect, who had a temporary arrest warrant issued against him.

On the day of his arrest, police stated they had difficulties locating the suspect previously, but with the gathered intelligence, they were finally able to track him down and execute the arrest. This operation brings relief to the affected businesses and the community as they continue to seek safety and security from such criminal activities.
