The Mistra women's handball team kicked off the Baltic Sea League tournament on Friday at the Raasiku Sports Hall, facing off against the Lithuanian team CASCADA - HC Garliava SC. Mistra made a strong start, boasting an impressive defense that allowed them to establish an early lead with a score of 11-2 at the 18-minute mark of the first half. However, the Lithuanian team began to play more aggressively as the half progressed, narrowing the gap before halftime.

In the second half, Mistra initially struggled with technical errors, which allowed CASCADA to capitalize and gain momentum. However, Mistra regained their rhythm about ten minutes into the second half. The match became intensely competitive as it neared its conclusion, with CASCADA making a determined effort to reverse the score. Nonetheless, the game ended with a narrow victory for Mistra, securing a final score of 31-30.
