A couple was arrested on Thursday, October 19, on the BR-040 highway near the California neighborhood in Belo Horizonte (BH), suspected of being part of a gang that specializes in residential burglaries. The Military Highway Police reported that the couple, both 31 years old, had their two children aged 5 and 9 with them at the time of their arrest. The police had received an anonymous tip that led to the couple's apprehension when a blockade was set up on the highway. During the operation, several stolen items were recovered from their possession, including jewelry, a television, speakers, alcoholic beverages, shoes, bags, and clothing.
