Stanislav Moškov won the 2025 press photo of the year award in Estonia for his photograph "Nuns in Action" featuring nun Filareta.

Stanislav Moškov, a photographer for Õhtuleht, has been awarded the 2025 press photo of the year by the Estonian Press Photographers Association (EPFL) for his striking image titled "Nuns in Action," which also won in the news photo category. The announcement was made during a traditional press photo exhibition opened in Tallinn at the Viru Centre, showcasing the best photographs of 2025. The event was co-organized by the EPFL, the Estonian Media Companies Association (EML), and Canon and Overall.

In his comments regarding the photograph, Moškov emphasized the emotive power of the eyes in the image, stating, "Look at those eyes and that gaze; they speak for themselves." This win marks a significant achievement for Moškov, especially since he also secured the news photo category award with the same image. The exhibition highlights the artistic and documentary value of press photography in Estonia and reflects the skill and creativity of the country's photographers.

Alongside Moškov's achievements, Mailiis Ollino from Pärnu Postimees received the best essence photo award for her work titled "It Goes Well," showcasing the beauty of winter weather. These recognitions not only honor individual photographers but also serve to elevate the standards of press photography and inspire upcoming talents in Estonia.
