On Thursday, two teenage sisters were attacked and stabbed inside a school bus in the rural area of Aratuba, Ceará, after leaving school. The incident occurred at the end of the route when the sisters were returning from Escola José Joacy Pereira. The attacker, who is also a student, fled the scene immediately after the attack. Fortunately, the sisters are reported to be in stable condition and are expected to be discharged from the hospital the following day.

Emergency medical services promptly responded to the scene and transported the injured sisters to the Hospital de Canindé. In light of the serious incident, the municipality of Aratuba has taken immediate action by sending a team comprised of technicians from the municipal Education and Health Departments, as well as legal advisors, to the hospital.
