In a shocking incident in Ibatiba, southern Espírito Santo, a 49-year-old man named José Roberto dos Anjos was brutally murdered by a couple of neighbors. The attack occurred late Thursday night, with the victim being stabbed and beaten with stones. The police reported that the crime took place near a police station that was closed at the time and that the victim was discovered lying on the street. Emergency medical services confirmed his death at the scene.
Witness statements disclosed that there had been a heated argument between the victim and the couple prior to the murder, although details regarding the nature of their relationship remain unclear. Following the incident, the police acted on information that one of the suspects was inside their residence. Upon arrival, they found Irani Fernandes Ferreira da Silva, 37, who confessed to the crime when questioned.
