Henrik Vuornos, a representative from the Kokoomus (National Coalition Party), is participating in a 24-hour running event this weekend in Espoo, as indicated by the competition's participant list. The event commences at the Esport Arena in Espoo on Saturday at noon and concludes on Sunday at noon. The winner will be determined by who covers the longest distance within the 24 hour time frame, and participants will race on a 390.04-meter indoor track. A total of 134 runners are registered for this competition, which also serves as the Finnish championship for the general category of 24-hour runs.
Ilta-Sanomat will provide live coverage of the event, highlighting the race and discussions about running. Vuornos had previously shared his enthusiasm for ultrarunning with Ilta-Sanomat last summer. His passion for running sparked in spring 2024 when he realized that his fitness was at a low point. Just a year and a half later, he participated in his first 100-mile ultramarathon, showcasing his commitment to his newfound sport and pushing his limits in endurance running.
