In two of the most significant auctions in the United States, breeders with Argentine Angus blood not only competed on equal footing but also reached record prices, being purchased by cattle breeders who dictate the pace of the business worldwide. The pinnacle of this event occurred at the Coleman Angus Ranch in Montana, where Kelly Schaff, the owner of Schaff's Angus Valley and recognized as the world's top breeder, paid US$270,000 for 50% of a bull sired by Argentine genetics, reflecting a total value of US$540,000 for the animal.
