The move of Stubbin is approaching

The renovation of the official residence of the President of Finland at Mäntyniemi is nearing completion, with expected completion this spring.

The significant renovation of Mäntyniemi, the official residence of the President of Finland, is in its final stages and is set to be completed this spring, as confirmed by the presidential office. The renovation, which began in March 2024, is estimated to cost around 55 million euros and includes major updates such as the construction of elevators and enhancements to the entrance building as well as renovations of support buildings into meeting and office spaces.

Mäntyniemi consists of three buildings: the main residential building, a gate building, and a service building. The main building houses residential, representative, and office spaces, while also being noted for its distinctive angular architecture. In addition to aesthetic improvements, the renovations focus on enhancing energy efficiency by integrating geothermal and solar power systems into the property.

The presidential office plans to announce the details of the presidential couple's move later in the spring, marking an important transition in the official residence as it continues to modernize and adapt to contemporary standards while preserving its historical significance.
