None of the state units of Correios met the delivery deadline targets; Roraima had the worst index at 65%
No state unit of Brazil's postal service Correios managed to meet the delivery deadline targets, with Roraima showing the lowest performance at 65%.
In the context of an economic and financial crisis affecting Brazil's postal service, a report released by Correios reveals that none of its state units have met the established delivery deadlines set for the period leading up to September 2025. The service managed a delivery rate of only 90.18%, falling short of the target of 95.54% that had been set for on-time deliveries.
The report, which is based on data obtained exclusively by G1, indicates significant issues in the postal delivery system, with the state-owned company noting that there are backlogs at both the points of origin and destination for deliveries. This situation raises concerns about the operational efficiency of Correios, especially considering the importance of timely deliveries to customer satisfaction and service reliability.
Additionally, despite the approval of a R$ 12 billion loan from the treasury, the performance ratings reflect a pressing need for improvements in logistics and operational management. The evaluation examines adherence to deadlines set for key postal services, including packages, logistics, and correspondence, emphasizing the challenges faced by the company in maintaining service standards during financially challenging times.
